I know by now, most of us are sick of staying home. However, cases are still on the rise and I don’t see that changing soon. I have found ways to “travel the world” from the comfort of my own home, with the help of Airbnb and ClassPass. This is not a sponsored post, just my personal recommendations (but hey Airbnb and ClassPass….I’m open to it….lol).

ClassPass has been offering live-stream workout classes for a while now. I used to be against working out at home, I didn’t like the "jazzercise" feel of workout videos. But, with the live experience, it makes it feel a little bit more like I’m in the studio.

There’s still the accountability piece as well, which is what I need. You pay for the class and it starts at a certain time, so you better be there. I have “traveled” to Boston, New Orleans, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts for barre3 classes. I have also attended a virtual meditation class and a yoga class, both out of Chicago. I love that I can continue to workout at home and enjoy the benefit of access to instructors all over the world.
ClassPass, for one weekend, also offered all different kinds of experiences. I took a cocktail making class, a gnocchi cooking class, and enjoyed a live acoustic guitar concert, all in one night! I really hope they bring this back in the future.
Airbnb has traditionally offered experiences in various cities. You can book your accommodations, and then add on a candle making class while you’re in town. However, with everything shut down, Airbnb allowed people to start offering their experiences online. This has been amazing. I have listed the experiences that I have personally attended below, but I plan on attending more in the future.
Every single experience has been well-organized, highly-informative, and a ton of fun! I would highly encourage you to look into these experiences. For those of you that want more of the true "travel" feel, you can go on "walking tours" from the comfort of your own home.

My mom and I have been able to attend a few together, even though we are several hours apart. The value is also great, in my opinion. These talented people have done a great job of adapting the experiences for the online format.
I feel like the world is my oyster these days when it comes to choices for workouts and experiences. You now have access to all kinds of talented people and various locations and cultures, right from your computer or phone. While of course I miss traveling, I like that I can still go on a few adventures from my couch or kitchen.

The cooking classes have been my favorite, but I’m a foodie at heart. Every single recipe I’ve learned is something I will continue to make in the future. Each host has been incredibly knowledgeable in their field and has shared personal stories to enrich the experience.
Let me know in the comments below if you have tried any experiences.
